Tanner's Fire House
'Tanner's Firehouse' was a gift for my former boss's 6-year old son. When I asked Myles what Tanner would enjoy
as a special gift that was made especially for him, we landed on a firehouse.
That's when I knew I was in for a big project and the pressure was on!
Myles and Tanner had no idea of what was coming, so the expectations were solely mine. I had to get comfortable with the idea that I was going to make a miniature that wasn't going to sit on a shelf and be in the collection of an adult but rather a toy that would have to stand the test of time for a very rambunctious six-year boy.
I did my research, and inspired by an old New York City Firehouse, I started this project.
About 6 months and almost 280 hours later, I had captured what I thought was a classic firehouse that could be a fun,
educational gift for a boy of any age. My daughter was green with envy after the project had been
completed and it no longer lived in our home.
