On the night of December 18, 2018, I had the great fortune to celebrate the official launch of my book, 'Small World: the everyday love of food in miniature' with my family, close friends, co-workers (present and past) well-wishers and supporters. It was a truly magical evening filled with laughter, conversation, hugs, sipping champagne and nibbling on an abundance of sweet treats.
The backdrop for this unforgettable event was the stunning downtown Oakland office of VSCO, and Joel Flory, the CEO of VSCO, and my boss, not only delivered a jaw-dropping intro for my talk, he also greeted each of my guests with a warm generosity of spirit that made everyone feel welcome and appreciated.
